Peter Nugent has been a superstar with get the shifts for over a year. Here he tells us all about how Get the Shifts works for him from week to week.
It all started a really nice career path for me in December 2017 when I saw an advert on Facebook looking for Hospitality Staff, Bar staff and Waiting Staff for events and smaller gigs.
I studied hospitality in Dundalk and I have been working as a manager in the industry for many years. I’ve found Get the Shifts a great way to make a extra few euro while off from my full-time job.
I was so excited to work at many different venues. Since I started I’ve worked at absolutely everything! From wait shifts with big hotels in Dublin to promotional work in The Aviva, and even cool events for companies like Facebook, every shift is different!
Becoming a Supervisor
Shortly after starting with Get the Shifts I became supervisor, which is brilliant as I love to train and teach my team some new tricks of the trade.
No day is ever the same. I would recommend any person who might be looking for flexible work in hospitality for the summer get in contact with Get the Shifts.
Trust me; Get the Shifts has a great management team who will support you 100% of the way. Each week they send updated briefs of clients’ wishes and shifts. It’s wonderful, and you always know the management is at the end of the phone if any queries.
I’ve met lots of new friends through Get the Shifts and I’ve had lots of new experiences. It really is a great place to work.
